Terms of Admission
Period of Study
The period of study is 4 academic
years to get a B.Sc. degree.
Training
The
candidate completes three months practical training during summer
holidays
Certificates and degrees granted by the
University
1. B.Sc. in Communication Engineering.
2. B.Sc. in Computer Engineering. 3. B.Sc. in Political and Managerial Sciences.
Engineering Certificate will be endorsed in co-operation with
a British University
Terms of Admission
1. Communication and Computer Engineering Department
To be
admitted in Year one, the candidate should pass the entrance test
after a preliminary course of one month which includes:
1. English Language, 2. Computing, 3. Engineering Physics,
4. Mathematics.
The followings can be admitted to the
preliminary course
1. candidates graduated from the Secondary
School with a total of at least 455 degrees in the last year
(Year Six/Scientific) 2. The candidates with Technical Diploma
of Vocational High Schools). 3. The top ten graduates from
Technical Secondary Schools (Industrial) in the fields of
Electricity and Electronics only.
Notes
1. Graduates with B.Sc. and postgraduate degrees from Scientific
colleges are admitted directly to the university without the
preliminary course. 2. The result of the preliminary test
and candidate's total will be averaged. 3. Candidate
whose total are less than 455 degrees and those who fail to pass
the entrance test will be admitted to the foundation year and
should pass with an average of 60% at least to be admitted to
the University.
2. Political and Managerial Sciences
Department
To be admitted to this department all the
candidates graduated from the Secondary School or equivalent.
Evening Study
Evening study is available for any
candidate who wants to study from 3.00pm to 8.00pm. The same
terms of admission and fees are applicable.
Post
Graduate Studies
The candidate should have “
Good” average in the B.Sc. level. A completion of an
English Language course of 15 weeks is required by the candidate.
The student will spend eight months to study the courses
in Iraq and four months for the project in the UK (pending an agreement).
